HOW IT ALL STARTED

Eftekassat is a family business currently operating in Cairo, Egypt. The project originally started by Nemat Khalifa, Founder of Eftekassat with a collection of household furniture manufactured and crafted in Egypt. After starting a wooden product line of household furniture, her daughter Nour showed her a picture of the learning tower and asked her if it was possible for her workers to make one for her 18 months old son to use. The outcome was amazing! Nour was using the tower with her son daily and they both loved it! The learning tower was not available in Egypt so Nemat thought why not start selling it on Eftekassat’s page? And so she did! This was the only child-related product at that point but was gaining popularity quickly. Eventually, Heba Khalifa, sister of Nemat Khalifa and Nour Gheita, her daughter decided to partner up with Nemat and turn Eftekassat into a child-furniture business, providing quality wooden furniture and toys for children, mainly unavailable in the Egyptian market.
